Harley, it really is a pity that so many of God’s people torture themselves with endless guilt. The one message from that poor girl of 22 who thought God was angry at her actually made me sad. So many people see God as what can only be.described as an abusive parent or a bad teacher. I know that this distorted view is what kept me from becoming a Christian until.I was 54.

I do not believe that God is offended by masturbation. I think He is merciful and understanding. At least MY God is. I also feel that He is not an angry, prudish old man Who has nothing better to do than rant over people touching themselves.

Glad you aren’t dead, because it would be pretty spooky if a ghost was posting here. I am also 57, and still alive and kicking. I may not be as good as I once was, but I am as good once as I ever was. Leaving nothing to the imagination effectively removes titillation. It is our mind that is our primary sex organ, not our genitals. Our genitals are used to carry out our mind’s sexual desires, not visa-versa, although it seems that some men think with their little head, not their big head.

This site made me think back to a time when my father and stepmother tried to.fix me up with their mechanic. Now I have nothing against mechanics, but this guy stank of booze, had no conversational skills,.and had.a.mouth full of rotton teeth. When I told Dad I didn’ t find him attractive, Dad pointed out that he could fix my car for free, and “He’s single, isn’t he?” Thanks, but no thanks.That was 19 years ago.Today I have a nice boyfriend and a great mechanic.

I think occasional anger with God is natural. However, what helped me with this was something a.good friend told me: that Jesus died on the.Cross for us,.and feelings have nothing to do with it. It is a fact. We cannot base our beliefs on how we feel from day to day.
